This Week at a Glance 21st January 2024

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Welcome back for the third week of term. We have lots happening in school this week so please read ‘This Week at a Glance’ more information.

Health and Safety

Thanks to all those who park safely in the church carpark when leaving and collecting your child to/from school. At all times your child’s safety is our number one priority.  I am respectfully requesting that no one should park in the bus layby for health and safety reasons. A new compound for storing the heating system to the mobiles is being built, and in addition to that, two mobile classrooms flooded last Friday due to a burst pipe. All of this has led to a lot of work vehicles needing easy access.

Storm Isha

The Education Authority have notified all schools about potential disruption due to *Storm Isha*. There is an AMBER Warning for Wind from 18:00hrs Sunday 21st to 09:00hrs Monday 22nd January 2024.

Please keep an eye on all notifications regarding any disruption to school.

Catholic Schools Week

The theme of Catholic Schools week 2024 is Communities of Service, which will be celebrated from 21st to 27th January. It is important that our children learn how to be connected with one another by sharing their gifts and talents starting with family and friends, at home and in school, so that they learn to grow in deeper relationships with one another, with God, and with the community of the parish. There will be a celebration of our Catholic Schools with songs of praise and joy, interspersed with readings and prayers in Church of St Therese, Banbridge on Wednesday 24th January 2024 at10.30am. A number of children will be in attendance and all our classes will participate through the live stream in the classroom.  Our families at home are invited to join the streamed broadcast from the Church of St Therese, Banbridge on Wednesday 24th January 2024 at 10.30am.

Primary 5 Mr Trainor’s Family Prayer Service

P5NT will be having a prayer service to celebrate the end of Catholic Schools Week in our school. Parents, guardians, and families of Mr Trainor’s P5 class re invited to attend on Friday 26th January at 1:15pm.
