Pat, NI Water, Education Outreach officer, delivered a formative Assembly on the Wonderful World of Water for the whole school. Focusing on the importance of the Water Cycle pupils investigated how we clean our water and wastewater and explore the little things we can all do to look after this precious resource. Pat told us how they deliver it to our homes and then treat the wastewater before returning it safely to the environment.
We watched Flo and her friends explain the water cycle and how this amazing cycle never ends. We discovered simple ways to save water at home and school. Some of our older children were able to compare how we use water here in Northern Ireland with people in the developing world.
