This Week At A Glance

19th Feb 2023

Dear Parents and Guardians,

We hope you and your children had a wonderful midterm break and are well rested and ready for a new term!  We are looking forward to seeing everyone back in school tomorrow morning. Please remember the school gate closes at 9:00am sharp.

We have a busy week ahead and please read the attached notice for more information. A few extra pieces of information are listed below.

Warrenpoint singing feis commences this week. Please check information sent home with your child for date and time.  We wish all our competitors the very best of luck in this.

Anyone taking dinner on Tuesday 21st February will need to have their dinner booked online by this evening as we have to place the dinner order tomorrow with the central kitchen in St Clare's Abbey P.S..   This is due to the teachers strike action and as you know, school will not open until 12:10pm on this day. There will be no bus run to take the children to school that morning but normal service will resume for 3:00pm dismissal.

'Friends of St Patrick's P.S.' parents association are meeting on Tuesday evening at 6:00pm in the school. It would be lovely to see a few more new faces. The parents association do amazing work for our school, so why not come along for a cup of tea and find out what they are planning. It is a great way to get connected with our school community.

Our Primary 3 to Primary 7 pupils will be attending Mass on Ash Wednesday at 9:30am. All our families are welcome to join us.

We would be grateful if any joiners who can afford a little time to do a few 'little' tidy up jobs in our school would contact the school office on 028 40630061.

Our thoughts and prayers are with our Primary 4 children who are making their First Penance this Friday at 1:00pm. We wish them and their family every blessing for this special occasion.

Please read 'This Week At A Glance' For more information about what is happening in our school this week.

Kind regards

G Smith
