Last year our school invested in purchasing training and resources for our PDMU programme - PATHS (Promoting Alternative Thinking Strategies). Our children have been fully engaged in the programme and are enjoying expressing themselves.
Paths is designed to facilitate the development of self control, emotional awareness, peer relations and problem solving skills. It is designed to enhance social understanding of children.
Have a look at some of the posters in our classrooms to remind us of how to resolve conflict, to help us talk about how we're feeling. We've been reading social stories, carrying out role play and group work to problem solve and use our thinking skills. This is some of the wall displays and work we've done.
