The Great Famine - Poetry by Primary P6

Primary Six have continued to enjoy their class novel, ‘Under The Hawthorn Tree’ by Marita Conlon McKenna, whilst they have been learning from home.

Every week, the boys and girls log into Seesaw to read the next chapter and continue the adventure of Eily, Michael and Peggy’s journey to survival during the Great Irish Famine. The P6s are developing their reading comprehension skills and enjoying writing in a range of genres. Miss Murphy is delighted to still be able to read to the boys and girls, sharing their novel, thanks to the wonders of technology!
