Room 2 P2 were busy doing practical maths

Last week the P2 boys and girls were developing their number recognition by learning to play bingo. They started with numbers to 10 and progressed up to 20.

Patterns is a fun but challenging activity. We began by copying a simple two colour pattern, then the children made their own two colour pattern independently. The same process was used for three colour pattern and a four colour pattern. A lot of concentration and calling out their pattern was needed for the four colour pattern but quite a few children managed it.
