Room 2 P1’s are learning to record addition sums.

This week P1 have been learning how to record an addition sum using the + and = sign. The children have been doing lots of shared work on how to write a sum on whiteboards and have been using the large Numicon as a visual support.  

Today the children got the opportunity to use their own Numicon set to make their own sums and to record them on whiteboards. Wow I was really impressed how they got on and they were able to read their sums out using the words and/add and all together makes/equals!
