Robot Mouse

As part of our World Around Us topic this term about People Who Help Us, the children today made a cross curricular link with their ICT.

Having read the story of The Jolly Postman the children used ‘Robot Mouse’ to help The Jolly Postman deliver his post to all the different houses. The children had to plan and carry out commands to reach the different fairytale houses on the mat. The children developed their language further with words such as, forwards, backwards, turn right and turn left. 

The children really enjoyed this activity and made many mistakes but were able to correct their problems by talking aloud as they entered the commands on ‘Robot Mouse’.
