Today the children enjoyed a fun and engaging problem-solving activity in maths. They worked with the numbers 1, 4, 2 and 8, choosing pairs of numbers to add together and recording both the calculation and the answer. They repeated this several times, helping to build confidence and fluency with addition.
Afterwards, the children challenged themselves further by subtracting one number from another. To support their thinking, they used Numicon resources, which helped them to visualise the numbers and understand their calculations more clearly.
The class showed great enthusiasm and perseverance, developing their number skills through hands-on learning and exploration. Well done everyone!
