P6 Girls Enjoy ‘Our Lady’s Experience’
On Wednesday, Primary Six girls attended Our Lady’s Grammar School, Newry for the ‘Our Lady’s Experience’.
The girls enjoyed a full timetable of classes in secondary school subjects including Languages, Home Economics, PE, Drama, and Technology and Design.
The girls got to work with children from other schools and met lots of new friends. They learned conversational and counting skills in French and Irish, how to make strawberry milkshake and fruit kebabs in Home Economics, played competitive ball games in PE and made an iPhone holder using machinery in the Technology Lab.
They enjoyed delicious break-time refreshments and dinner in the canteen. The Head of Year Eight, Mrs McKeever and the Vice Principal, Mr Hackett were very welcoming and full of praise for our respectful, well-mannered girls.
Our pupils were guided around the school by two wonderful former students, Megan McGeeney and Michaela McSloy.
A great experience was had by everyone!
