Primary One and Two began their gymnastics PE block outside this week. We decided to make the most of the good weather and take the equipment outside using lots of mats to allow the children to feel safe if they lost their balance.
This week the focus was to allow the children to feel comfortable and safe while travelling, climbing, jumping and balancing on the basic equipment. Teachers were looking out for and teaching balance and landing techniques.
You can see from the photos the children had lots of fun experimenting and learning new skills.
