Primary 2 have been very busy during their numeracy time.
The children have been looking at different strategies to solve addition problems.
Here the children were rolling dice and looking at their double and near doubles to help them with their addition. They have also been learning how to add 0, 1 and 2 to a number, as well as learning to put the bigger number in their heads and then add on.
The children have also been learning how to use the number line to help with subtraction.
Everyone drew their own number lines and hopped back to work out their answers.
