This week P1 were learning about length and height in the topic of measure.
They had to sort a set of snakes from the largest to the smallest in pairs - this was working in pairs and problem solving together!
The next day the children had to make lengths using cubes, as they had previously sorted the snakes the day before they all automatically made each length one more - just like they were down in mental maths (one more).
Finally they finished by putting the boys and girls into height order - it took a few movements and hand sliding along the heads to get a few of the boys in the right order. Luckily the girls were much easier even with Ms McNeill in the line up!
