This week Primary 2 have been learning how to use a dictionary.
The children now know that a dictionary is used to find out what a word means and is also helpful in spelling unfamiliar words. The children were exposed to new phrases such as 'guide letters' and 'alphabetical order'.
In groups the children also had the opportunity to practically sort letters from the alphabet into alphabetical order.
Up next will be sorting words into alphabetical order!!!
