Humpty Dumpty and number work in Room 2

This week P1 were focusing on the nursery rhyme Humpty Dumpty. They were learning the rhyme, tapping a steady beat while saying the rhyme, sequencing 4 pictures demonstrating the rhyme and ordering the first 6 words of the rhyme all during Literacy time. On Friday during play time the children decorated a hard boiled egg into Humpty Dumpty - unfortunately one of the eggs was not boiled and rolled onto the floor like Humpty Dumpty 🙊 🥚! The children were shocked and their wee faces were a picture 😄.
P2 have been working on counting to 20, recognition of the numbers to 20, numbers before, after and between within 20. They have been using digit cards, IXL and the large class number set to develop these numbers. Great to see P2 becoming more confident within these numbers.
