On Tuesday 24th September four Primary 7 Rights Respecting Team members attended the Northern Ireland Commissioner for Children and Young People's, NICCY's, ' FOR EVERY CHILD ... EVERY RIGHT' Exhibition, in Newcastle Library.
The children had the opportunity to meet and talk to Chris Quinn, the Children's Commissioner, who spoke to them about their rights as children. The children got to express their views to the commissioner and Aoife was selected to take part in a demonstration where Chris told the children all about the Rights of the Child and how important it was for them to know their rights. We hope to see Chris in the very near future. The children were great advocates for our school and brought back lots of information to school.
