Comhghairdeas to our talented pupils, present and past, parents, and our very own Mrs Kearney, on their fantastic participation in the Fleadh Cheaoil na hEireann 2025, in Wexford!
They performed magnificently in all parts of the competition! Well done to the U12 All Girls Set Dancing team who were placed in Bronze Medal position and qualify for the Fleadh mBéal Feirse in 2026!
The mixed U12 Set Dancing Team performed brilliantly also and also qualify for Fleadh mBéal Feirse in 2026!
The adult Mixed Team was the very last of the Set Dancing teams to compete, performing against 10 other teams, including one from Japan and one from USA! They performed brilliantly and we are so proud of Mrs Kearney, our pupils and our parents!
Musicians from our surrounding area joined in the creation of the new Guinness World Record for the biggest Céili Band! 1,018 musicians of all ages from Ireland, US, France, Japan and Canada performed in Chadwick's Wexford Park and the record was confirmed by Glen Pollard of Guinness Book of Records - what an achievement!
We can't wait to hear all about it when you return to school in a few weeks time!
