Congratulations to all our P.7 pupils who took part in the school 'Spelling Bee' competition on 10th May. All pupils stood up and spelt their words with confidence and assurance and the rest of the school listened carefully in admiration. Well done to our third placed pupil, Ellen Mc Kay, our second placed pupil, Bryan Rice and our first placed pupil, Ellen Shields.
Ellen then went on to Downpatrick on 17th May to represent our school in the Regional final where 16 schools were represented. On arrival, she registered and was given a special 'Spelling Bee' t-shirt to wear. Then all the pupils had a practice round. When the real competition started Ellen made great progress, proceeding through five rounds before she was knocked out, coming in overall in 5th place. All competitors were presented with a goody bag before they went home. Ellen enjoyed the day.
