Baptism

As part of our RSE and Grow in Love programme the children have been looking at the importance of belonging to a family. The children listened to the story of ‘ The Christening’ from the Flourish resources and were able to talk about the special occasion and the preparation involved. This linked very well with the Grow in Love programme and helped the children begin to appreciate that they belong to God’s family through Baptism and to respect the church as a place of prayer and celebration. The children brought in pictures of their own Baptism and were able to talk about the various symbols used at a Baptism.
