An Easter Blessing for all our families

10th Apr 2020

10th April 2020

Dear parents,

at this time when things are far from normal and most adults are worried, I wish to extend to you and your families, on behalf of the whole school community, our best wishes for a very blessed and peaceful Easter.

We have been sad that the children have not been in school during Holy Week as we missed sharing the story of The Passion with them. This is a part of our work each year which is a privilege for us. As you will see from the website many children have completed work on this wonderful story at home, under your guidance.

I have heard from many of you this week and I have looked carefully at all the work uploaded onto Seesaw. I have to sincerely compliment you, the parents, our children and staff on the effort you are investing into making ‘learning from home’ work so well. Together we are making the best of a very difficult situation educationally.

As I have marked and commented on children’s work on Seesaw this week I have been seriously impressed at the level of commitment and participation.  We also have a huge number of children using IXL, Lexia, Accelerated Reading and Purple Mash. Many of you, the parents, are working from home, juggling the logistics of home learning alongside a busy daily routine and it is amazing that you have achieved so much. Thank you!

Everyone should take a break from home learning for the Easter week.

From all of us at St Patrick’s, with our sincerest good wishes, here is a song of blessing for all our families and for the community of Hilltown.
