Both P6 classes are exploring the World Around Us topic, ‘The World Around Me’. They are thoroughly enjoying learning about their local area, and landmarks throughout the island of Ireland. On Friday, Miss Murphy’s class began their beautiful art project, which will develop their ability to sketch landscapes using lots of different media - pencils, watercolor and even charcoal. We decided upon developing a scene of the picturesque Mourne Mountains. I think they made a fantastic start. Our budding artists will post up the finished products in a few weeks time.
