1916

Primary 6/7 have been studying the 1916 Easter Rising and the War of Independence. They have been thoroughly enjoying learning about this part of Irish history. Mrs O'Neill had a surprise for the class. She brought in a medal her great uncle Patrick O'Prey won for his role in the War of Independence when he was a Captain in the Gargory Company from 1916-1922. The class really enjoyed looking at this rare artefact.
